Located on the periphery of an historical WWII airbase, this ’chalet’-style bungalow is ideal for a family getaway or romantic retreat. Enter into this homely property via an access ramp and porch, ideal for prams, through a second door into an open plan dining/living area with dining table and chairs, corner sofa, TV, DVD, Xbox Series X and a large selection of DVDs to choose from. Off the hallway is a modern kitchen, and there is a further cosy ’bijou’ living area which is in the centre of the property with a small reclining sofa, Smart TV and French doors that lead to the decking area with patio furniture. All three bedrooms lead from here, two doubles and a single, including TV’s with built-in DVD players. The double bedrooms have enough storage to accommodate the whole party. The family bathroom features a corner shower cubicle with an electric shower, toilet and sink.
In one of the outbuildings in the garden there’s a further laundry room for convenience, providing a tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. Located on the side of the property is a private garden, with a slate chipping covered floor. There’s a picnic bench, a couple of sun loungers, a gas barbecue and a firepit to keep warm in front of on cooler evenings.
Positioned within the fishing village of Flookburgh, the property has plenty of amenities on the doorstep. These include a post office, pharmacy, bakery, public house, general store and fish and chip shop. In addition, there’s a number of attractions within walking distance too, including Skydive Northwest, Willow Lane Alpaca and Llama Farm, and Wraysholme Creamery, an ice cream farm popular with the locals. Cark & Cartmel Railway Station is only a 20-minute walk from the property. Here, you can travel by train on the Furness line, which runs between Barrow-in-Furness and Lancaster.
Located in Flookburgh, you have the best of both worlds, with easy access to Humphrey Head, a popular tourist spot for beach lovers, 2 miles, and right on the border of the Lake District National Park. There are walks, cycling routes, local pubs, great shopping and stunning scenery. It is also a short drive from the popular Victorian town of Grange-over-Sands, and is just a few miles from the southern tip of Lake Windermere, providing easy access to the Lakeland fells. There’s something for you to do every day!
