Cottage 1 is a lovely former farmhouse nestled in Braithwaite, Lake District National Park. Hosting one mezzanine double bedroom, sleeping a total of two people and served by a family shower room. There is an open-plan living room with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area with an electric woodburning stove. Outside has a shared courtyard garden with furniture and communal parking. Cottage 1 is a delightful base for exploring all this picturesque part of the Lake District has to offer.

Still retaining much of its traditional appeal, the Coledale Beck runs through the village with whitewashed Lakeland cottages, two village shops and two real ale Inns each brimming with character! Between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit. From a gentle countryside ramble to a challenging hike up Skiddaw, there really is something for everyone. Visit Mirehouse, a grand house and gardens on the shores of the lake with an open-air theatre, or take a trip around the lake. Lake District Wildlife Park, Dodd Wood, Derwentwater, and Keswick with its wide range of attractions, are also within easy reach.
