Private 75-Acre Riverfront Retreat | Niangua River | Near Bennett Springs!
Experience true Ozark seclusion with over 1,000 feet of Niangua River frontage, including hundreds of feet of private gravel bar with no public access for miles in either direction. This wonderful property is located up-river from all of the locations used by the local float outfitters to drop off their customers, and as a result traffic along the water is extremely sparse - ideal for peace and quiet to relax and for allowing the kids to play along the river without interference. The property offers exclusive access to a beautiful park-like waterfront approximately a quarter of a mile in length with bluffs on either side - truly an isolated retreat. The river features both a large, deep, slow moving swimming hole as well as ample shallow riffles with extensive gravel bar, ideal for fishing, floating, swimming, wading, picnicking, or parking your camp chairs and relaxing in the middle of the channel to enjoy watching the numerous Bald Eagles circle overhead...and if you notice curiously nibbled sticks floating by, keep an eye out for the family of beavers who live on the west side of the property near the boulders.
Though tucked away and secluded toward the end of a road with no through traffic, the property is just minutes from Bennett Spring State Park, offering the perfect blend of privacy and convenience. The luxurious yet rustic cabin boasts an open floorplan with full kitchen and a wonderful gathering area in the front, great for visiting, game nights, family meals etc. It sits atop a majestic Ozark bluff, offering extraordinary long-range views you can enjoy from inside the cabin, around the fire pit, or from the screened-in front porch. Designed to comfortably host 1–2 families or a group of friends, the cabin features two private bedrooms with king beds and TVs with DVD players. Incredibly fast high-speed Starlink internet allows for streaming your favorite movies after a long day outside is finished. The upstairs loft is perfect for kids with two twin and two full beds, and a small TV for movie night. All indoor linens are provided though it is recommended to bring beach towels for the river. Please feel free to bring fire wood for the outdoor sitting area and for the (seasonal) indoor fireplace.
There are river chairs, float tubes, and a selection of life jackets available in the lean-to storage area. Four-wheel-drive is not always necessary for taking vehicles down to the river, but it is recommended. With Bennett Springs just 5 miles away, guests can easily spend the day trout fishing, hiking, and exploring the state park, then return to the quiet and privacy of the retreat away from the public. Float trips on the Niangua River are also available nearby for those wanting a longer river adventure.
