About this house rental
I travel often for work, and when I purchased this home, it had already been operating successfully as a short-term rental for several years. It’s now both a well-loved home and a place I return to regularly. I hope you enjoy the décor and thoughtful details throughout—each piece reflecting a bit of who I am and what I love.
I utilize a third-party co-host to ensure you are well taken care of during your stay. I trust that Utmost Property Management will care for both you and the home with the utmost attention to detail, always keeping your experience as the top priority.
Nestled just outside of town in Woodland, this home offers a peaceful, more rural setting while still being conveniently close to everyday essentials. You’ll be minutes from local shops like the Woodland Corner Store, local dining, and I-5 for easy travel north to Longview or south to Vancouver and Portland. Surrounded by greenery and open space, the area is perfect for those looking to unwind, enjoy fresh air, and experience a quieter side of the Pacific Northwest—with a nearby golf course and easy access to the Lewis River, hiking spots, and outdoor recreation.
Guests have full access to the home and all living spaces. When I’m not away on work contracts, this is my personal home, and I’m happy to share it with you during your stay. With that, I kindly ask that you respect my personal belongings that remain in the home, including items such as a large safe, toolbox, and some stored boxes in the loft. There are also a couple of sheds on the property that are not for guest use and should remain untouched. Any tampering may result in additional charges and platform-related consequences.
Step through the front door—complete with a convenient doggy door—into the laundry area, which flows seamlessly into the home’s shared bathroom. From there, head left into the open-concept kitchen and living room, creating a comfortable central space to gather. Just off this main area, you’ll find the primary bedroom tucked on the main floor for easy access.
The living room and the hallway near the bathroom both offer exterior doors that lead out to the spacious wraparound deck—perfect for enjoying the surrounding outdoors.
Back at the entry, stairs lead up to the loft. At the top, to the right, is an open bedroom (no door). To the left, the loft opens into two cozy nooks with seating for both adults and kids, along with a selection of board games. There’s also a fully enclosed bedroom upstairs for added privacy.
This home is dog-friendly and was exuberantly shared with two pups in recent months. In the true PNW spirit, you may occasionally notice a faint trace of pet presence during the rainy season—something fellow animal lovers will recognize as part of a well-loved home. We take great care in our cleaning to keep the space fresh and comfortable, but if you have sensitivities to pets, another home may be a better fit for your stay.
This home is in the middle of a wooded area. While we are a pest-free home, living in the PNW forest has spiders, and other friendly creatures. Sometimes, these visitors find their way inside. This is a byproduct of where we the house is settled. If you are squeamish about these things, this may not be the retreat for you!
The home may include a decibel monitoring sensor to ensure that neighborhood noise levels are respected. NoiseAware is a smart home device that measures decibel levels throughout the property.
