The traditional Cornish village of Polruan is a charming maze of winding streets and steep steps, dotted with pubs, cafes, and a local shop. The village sits on the South West Coast Path, making it a perfect base for scenic walks, perhaps to the twinkling turquoise cove of Lantic Bay (2 miles). Just across the river lies Fowey (1 mile), a lively and popular Cornish holiday destination accessible via a regular ferry service.
