The Space:
Enjoy the very best of Northstar California Resort at this five-bedroom Truckee lodge, where you'll have wonderful access to a private deck, your very own pool table, skiing, horseback riding, golf, and so much more.
This two-level home is tucked in a grove of evergreens, only half a mile from the Big Springs Express and Highlands Gondolas in the Village at Northstar. It's also just two miles from the Northstar golf couse, eight miles from central Truckee, and eight miles from Kings Beach on the northern shores of Lake Tahoe.
Guests will also be half a mile from the NPOA Recreation Center, which offers year-round and seasonal pools, a summer splash pad, hot tubs, a gym, tennis, and a game room for a small daily fee.
Step inside to marvel at the lofty ceilings, plentiful windows, and impressive stone fireplace. After a day of hiking, boating, or skiing, you'll have WiFi, a cable TV, a DVD player, and a pool table in the upstairs loft to enjoy with your family.
Before hopping on the free shuttle bus each morning, prepare homemade breakfasts in the kitchen and sit down to eat at the 10-person dining table. You'll find a patio table and a gas grill on the tree-lined deck, as well as a dishwasher in the kitchen to make clean-up a breeze.

Summer at Northstar is wonderful and this property is close to the village and to the golf course. The house comfortably sleeps 10 guests and has a nice deck for BBQ’s.

Vacasa claims they sent an email with notes on amenities but it never came through. Only negative of this property is Zero on site instructions. No binder, no labels, nothing. Garbage note said “Take to North Star dumpster without a map or location of dumpster.
One of the toilets might be the lowest toilet ever made so a bit inconvenient for a group of over 50 but all over 6 feet tall! Otherwise nice home, nice location.
Bring your own ice if you’re into cocktails!!

The cabin is very nice and the location is excellent with a really easy shuttle service that stops right next to the cabin and takes you directly to the gondola.
The cabin was not well equipped and we expected a much higher standard for the price we paid (no coffee to use with the coffee machine, no equipment to start the fireplace, some of lights were not working, etc.).
The part that was most disappointing was that there was no flexibility at all on the checkout time - we asked if we can checkout a bit later, and they mentioned that we have to leave at 10AM sharp, we then asked if there is an option to checkout at 10AM and leave the car at the driveway for a few more hours so that we can use the shuttle and ski for another day, and we mentioned that we will move the car out before the next group checks in during the early afternoon, and received a reply that we have to move everything including the car out of the property by 10AM which was really frustrating.
