Golfers will want to try the famous links course at Harlech, 3 miles away; the coastal town is also home to a fabulous range of independent shops, a huge beach and a mighty castle, and is a base for outdoor activities, including rock climbing and stand-up paddleboarding. The Coed y Brenin Mountain Biking Centre is 8 miles away, and the fascinating village of Portmeirion, well worth a visit, is just 7 miles away.
