Set in an enviable beachfront position in Lower Largo, this charming two-bedroom cottage looks straight out over the sand and sea, with superb views from the sitting room and both bedrooms. An enclosed patio garden overlooks the beach, giving you your own front-row seat to the Firth of Forth – perfect for a proper, old-fashioned seaside holiday. Families will love stepping straight out for sandcastles and paddles, while golfers are spoilt for choice with a host of excellent courses within easy reach, including those around St Andrews.
Inside, the ground floor centres on a welcoming sitting/dining room with large windows framing the sea views, comfy seating, Smart TV with Freeview, hi-fi, wood-burning stove and a dining table for four. Shelves of books, CDs and games make it easy to settle in on quieter evenings. A handy cloakroom with WC and wash hand basin sits off the hallway, and the galley-style kitchen is well equipped with all the modern conveniences you need for relaxed self-catering.
Upstairs, a cosy snug with breathtaking sea views offers a peaceful spot to read, sip a coffee or simply watch the tide and the kite surfers out on the water. Both bedrooms enjoy the same wonderful outlook: a king-size room and a twin with two single beds, each with storage. They share a family bathroom with bath, mains overhead shower, WC and wash hand basin.
Outside, the enclosed patio is a safe, sheltered space for children and pets, with outdoor seating and direct access to the beach via the gate and path down the side of the house. Lower Largo’s sweeping sandy bay is popular with walkers, kite surfers and the local sailing club, whose boats are a joy to watch when they’re out on the water. The Crusoe Hotel and village amenities are just a short stroll away, and wireless internet and a small pet (by arrangement) make the cottage as practical as it is picturesque.
