Cabin in East Fork, NC
Reasons to book
About this cabin rental
Nestled in a quiet valley of the Blue Ridge Mountains along the East Fork of the Pigeon River, Goldilocks is a cozy antique log cabin where days unfold in mountain and river time, with equal room for adventure and lingering.
Built of traditional Appalachian hand-hewn timber with dovetail joinery, the cabin carries the character of Western North Carolina craftsmanship. A newly built kitchen, handsome furnishings, and exceptionally comfortable beds bring an easy modern comfort. Unpretentious, authentic, and quietly luxurious.
The cabin sits within private forest, the front porch overlooking clear ponds. An easy walk down past an old apple orchard leads to a private stretch of the East Fork Pigeon River.
Inside, the living room anchors around a large stone fireplace. The kitchen opens to a dining space built for cooking together and shared meals. Just outside, a broad slate patio offers space for gathering, grilling, and games, while the covered porch looks across the pond into the surrounding woods.
A King bedroom on the main floor and a Queen sleeping loft above each enjoy their own private bathroom. Beds are dressed in fine linens and Pendleton, with exceptionally comfortable mattresses.
Pisgah National Forest, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the trails, waterfalls, golf courses, and rivers of Western North Carolina lie just beyond the valley.
Some places just feel right.
