About this house rental
Tucked into a private wooded lot in the gated Thomas Mountain community, Rugged Trail Oasis delivers the perfect blend of rustic character and modern comfort. Breathtaking long-range seasonal mountain views, three stone fireplaces, a six-person jacuzzi, a fire pit, and a fully loaded lower-level game and entertainment space make this Morganton cabin a destination worth returning to.
The Main Level
Step through the front door into a soaring cathedral-ceiling great room filled with warm wood accents and natural light. The open floor plan flows seamlessly from the living area into a fully equipped chef's kitchen complete with custom knotty wood cabinetry, granite countertops, a gas range, stainless steel appliances, espresso machine, and a generous island perfect for gathering. The primary suite is conveniently located on the main level, offering privacy and with private access to the upper-level covered deck.
Outdoor Living — Upper Level
The upper-level covered deck is an outdoor living room in every sense. A soaring stone wood-burning fireplace anchors one end, with a mounted TV, premium outdoor sectional seating, a dining table, ceiling fans, and a gas grill rounding out the space. Whether you're watching the game or watching the trees, this deck is where the group will gather.
The Lower Level
The fully finished lower level is a destination all its own. The main social space features a large sectional, stone propane fireplace, shuffleboard table, air hockey, board games and direct access to the lower deck — perfect for rainy afternoons or late nights with the group. The wet bar with beverage fridge and dartboard keeps the fun going without anyone having to go far. The kids' room sleeps up to 5 with two full-size bunk beds and a twin trundle, plus a 43” TV set up for retro gaming — easily the most popular room in the house for younger guests. Two additional bedrooms, including a private queen ensuite with a 45” mounted TV, a six-tier dresser, ample closet space, and its own deck access, round out the lower level and give every guest their own space to recharge.
Outdoor Living — Lower Level
Step outside to the lower deck and unwind in the six-person jacuzzi under a canopy of hardwoods. A dedicated fire pit area with Adirondack seating sits just beyond, set deep in the wooded lot — the best seat in the mountains after dark. The 0.69-acre wooded lot offers just enough seclusion to feel a world away, without being far from anything.
Location
Just minutes from Lake Blue Ridge, world-class trout fishing on the Toccoa River, hiking trails, and the charming shops and restaurants of downtown Blue Ridge. The road to the property is accessible without 4WD, though low-clearance vehicles are not recommended.
