About this house rental

Upon entering the grand hallway, guests are lead seamlessly into the adjoining spaces: a cosy yet stylish lounge perfect for relaxing, a formal dining room ideal for hosting dinner parties, a well equipped kitchen with aga, and an additional informal dining area. The ground floor also includes a private office space for remote working or quiet study, as well as a practical utility room offering additional storage and laundry facilities.

Connected to the kitchen is a vibrant games room, complete with a sleek bar, pool table, and a large wall-mounted TV, making it the ultimate spot for entertaining guests or unwinding in style. Opening from the games room is a beautifully arranged outdoor seating area, featuring a pizza oven perfect for alfresco dining.

Upstairs, the home boasts five generously sized bedrooms, each accompanied by their own private bathrooms. The front-facing bedrooms present breathtaking views over the charming town of Charlestown. Meanwhile, the rear bedrooms overlook the tranquil, well-maintained grounds of Polmear Farm.

The Cornish Holiday Company begun hosting Polmear Farmhouse in Sept 2025, therefore there are no guest reviews as yet. However, The Cornish Holiday Company have been hosting the three other barn conversions at Polmear Farm since 2024. These are called Dolphin Cottage, Turtle Cottage and Starfish Cottage and we have many excellent reviews from guests who have stayed at these properties, some recent ones of which can be viewed below.
It should also be noted that the four properties at Polmear Farm can accommodate up to 24 guests in total - perfect for a large gathering.

Dolphin Cottage - July 2025, Helen
Dolphin Cottage is as described and more. We stay in Charlestown every year and this is by far my favourite property to date. It's a beautiful old cottage sympathetically modernised with every amenity and lots of parking which is a rarity in Charlestown. The gardens are well maintained, peaceful and very pretty. It's a hidden gem with the bonus of being a two minute walk from the numerous bars, restaurants and historic harbour not to mention the stunning cliff walks. Communication with the host has been excellent. Emma is very helpful and super efficient. I can highly recommend this property!

Turtle Cottage - May 2025, Tracey
The setting of Turtle Cottage, Charlestown was stunning for our 12 day holiday in Cornwall. Set in a peaceful location, yet just 3 minutes walk into the village where there are eateries a plenty and the beach too. The views were just amazing. The cottage itself had a well equipped kitchen, a great comfortable dining table to seat 6 people, two bath/shower rooms and a lovely patio area with a table, six chairs with cushions and sun umbrella too. The cottage was also full of cornish charm. Charlestown is a great location as a base and to be able to access roads to visit other key Cornwall attractions. Emma was most helpful with our booking throughout and we would recommend this holiday home.

Just wow. From the excellent location in Charlestown, to the beautiful cottage, we cannot recommend highly enough. Emma is an amazing host, always available to answer any questions after booking and excellent instructions leading into the stay. She also provided us with recommendations for the best restaurants in the area as well an excellent welcome pack on arrival. The amenities at the cottage are second to none, beautifully decorated and maintained and exceedingly comfortable. Made you feel like you were home from home. Will most definitely be staying again.
