This very traditional hotel is under new ownership, and they have just started in early 2026. The staff is exceptionally nice, friendly and hospitable. What I liked very much about the hotel was its great location right next to the Lindau-Reutin train station, and just across the street from the largest shopping center Lindau has to offer. The lake is also very close and there is very good public transport by bus to take you everywhere in Lindau. Despite its very central location, my room was very quiet thanks to the well-insulated windows.
When I stayed there, the WiFi wasn't working yet, and there is no air condition in the room. A minor annoyance was the bed, which was comfy but squeaked whenever i moved.
