Hiking and mountain bike trails start right outside your door. The Hoffnungsstollen visitor mine is a short walk away, and the Todtmoos waterfalls can be reached after about an hour’s hike through the Raven Gorge. The town center, with restaurants, cafés, shops, and the baroque pilgrimage church, is a 10–15 minute walk. Supermarkets are a few minutes away by car, and ski areas in Bernau and Todtnau are 10–35 minutes by car.
