The Panathenaic Stadium is the place where the first modern Olympic Games of 1896 took place. Trolleys and bus 1 minute away to get to Parliament and downtown. Metro stations Akropoli and Syntagma are a 15-20 minutes away and Evaggelismos station is about 20 minutes walk. Taxis are located 1 minute away. One can enter the stadium from the back side to enjoy the green hill, a view of the Acropolis, a sunset or a morning jog/walk with other runners who train for the annual classical marathon.
