The little house in the mountains is a lovely flat located in Prato Lonaro II, a hamlet of Lucoli in the province of L'Aquila. The accommodation consists of a comfortable living area and sofa bed with an equipped kitchenette, dining area and spiral staircase leading to the loft. On the left there is a double sofa bed, while through a large window you can access the balcony, from which you can enjoy a splendid view. There is a large bathroom with shower, bidet and laundry area. The sleeping area consists of a double bedroom with a bridge wardrobe. In the loft area there is a single bed with an additional bed and a sofa bed. This accommodation is provided with a private parking space, but in the area surrounding the accommodation there is access to outside parking spaces.
Prato Lonaro II is located in the municipality of Lucoli, in the province of L'Aquila, in the mountainous area of the central Apennines. Prato Lonaro II is a predominantly agricultural and mountainous area, characterised by wide green meadows, coniferous forests and a remarkable variety of flora and fauna. The name 'Prato Lonaro' refers to a large meadow area that has historically been used for grazing and other agricultural activities. The location is an excellent starting point for hiking and trekking, thanks to its proximity to trails that wind through unspoilt mountain landscapes. Only 20-30 minutes by car, you can visit the provincial capital, known for its history, architecture and culture. Don't miss the L'Aquila Castle, the Basilica of San Bernardino and the Piazza del Duomo. Lucoli is a municipality located north-east of L'Aquila, immersed in a region of great natural and scenic value. The municipal territory is mainly mountainous, with high peaks such as Mount Ocre and Mount Sirente. Lucoli is known for its rural environments, forests, meadows and traditions related to pastoralism. The municipality offers numerous opportunities for nature tourism, including trekking, forest walks and visits to natural caves. Lucoli is also famous for its villages, including Lucoli Alto and Lucoli Basso, which retain the charm of small mountain villages. The town has a strong connection to history, with numerous historic buildings and traditions that tell of the life of mountain people over the centuries. Present in Lucoli is the Church of San Giovanni Battista: an interesting historical church in the centre of the village, with frescoes and works of art. Try the typical dishes of Abruzzo cuisine, such as homemade pasta and meat dishes.
