"Haus Fenaretis"
The traditional farmhouse, dating back to 1780, was recently completely renovated and converted into a modern holiday villa in 1994. The total living space of 130 m² is spread over three levels. A traditional wooden door leads first into the kitchen, equipped with a four-zone gas stove with extractor hood, an electric oven, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a kettle, a toaster, a coffee machine, and a dining table with chairs. A short stone staircase leads from here to the living area, which is furnished with two comfortable sofas, a TV, and a DVD player. The large, open fireplace further underlines the homey country-house atmosphere and provides cozy warmth on cooler evenings. The first bedroom with a large double bed is also located on this level, as are the two bathrooms. A wide wooden staircase then leads up to the gallery with the additional sleeping area. Here you will find two single beds. The two sofas in the living room can also be converted into additional beds for two more people. A baby cot and highchair are available, as are sufficient firewood for the fireplace, bed linens, and towels, and reliable Wi-Fi access is provided free of charge in your holiday villa.
This white, Cycladic-style holiday villa enjoys an idyllic location in the village of Apokoronas on the northwest coast of the sunny island of Crete. This part of the coast is prized for its lush, forested mountain scenery, romantic bays, and long beaches.
Your holiday villa is located approximately 3.5 km from the nearest beach with crystal-clear waters (Kalives sandy beach). Literally right on your doorstep (about 50 m), you'll find local coffee houses and traditional-style taverns where you can indulge in regional delicacies. The national road (E75 Kissamos – Agios Nikolaos) is only about 2 km away, making it the perfect starting point for exploring the entire island. The city of Chania, with its romantic harbor, is about 23 km away and is definitely worth a varied day trip.
From the spacious sun terrace, equipped with a table and chairs, you can enjoy the far-reaching panoramic view over the Lefka Ori mountains all the way to the sea. Or make yourself comfortable on one of the sun loungers in the lush garden below, amidst rose bushes and colorful violets. And if you arrive by car, you can use the secure parking space right in front of the house.
