We were hesitant to book at first as there were no reviews. However, we are so glad we did! The lodge felt brand new. Everything was immaculately clean. The furniture was comfortable - important for Scottish weather and not always a given for holiday accommodation! The tv was smart, so it was easy to log in to Netflix etc. You are quite literally in the dunes, so the location was excellent. Like most places in Scotland, you do need a car to get there.
A few minor teething issues for the new lodge which I'm sure will be quickly resolved for future visitors: the lodge number/address and the wifi password we were given was both incorrect. However, after a few phone calls to the hosts, it was quickly resolved! I think this was the hosts first booking.com experience, so I'm almost certain this won't be an issue for future guests.
