Walk to Beach & Promenade Cozy Santa Monica Condo

The location was really great. Parking was perfect. The instructions for getting the key were easy to follow. The space was great and had fun decor. Bed was very comfortable. The location was a bit noisy with traffic. The fire engine was called out numerous times while we were there. We do not live in a big city so just not what we are used to. I am sure we will stay here again in the future. Overall, it was wonderful.

A coffee maker would have been nice. Also, a hairdryer would be a nice addition. The shower was a bit funky. The doors did not slide well enough to close and the caulking was messy and dirty. It was not immediately obvious how to get in the front door of the building. Some instructions would have been nice.

Location is perfect. Grocery stores and other shops are within walking distance. The beach is just a 10–15 minute walk away. The kitchen is well furnished, and the sofa bed and the king bed are both comfortable.

No lights at the entrance of the apartment—you have to walk to the kitchen to turn the lights on. Cleaning could be a bit better, but it was still acceptable. Communication with the host was okay. When we asked where to find the foldable bed, they didn’t reply, but aside from that everything was good.

The apartment was a 15 minutes walk to the beach which was good. It came with a parking space in the garage under the block. It had a lift from the parking garage directly to the floor where the appartment was. It had a separate bedroom which was quiet as its window was on the internal courtyard. The bathroom was large. It was quite spacious for 2 people. The kitchen was very well equipped with dishwasher, oven, large fridge etc.It was clean and had all the usual toiletries. It had good WiFi although it took us a while to get to find the box and connect up.

The blinds needed servicing in the lounge as they could not be closed/open. Neither in the bedroom. The bedroom windows were tricky to open. The appartment was less lit than we would have liked. For instance there is no hall light, so you enter in the dark, a couple of lightbulbs needed replacing. Arriving by car is fiddly because you need to collect the keys from a lockbox by car and then go into the appartment for the garage remote and then drive round to the garage to park the car. (It would have been easier to have the remote together with the keys). Having said that it had its own garage space which we really liked. On our checkout, the lockbox had been forcibly removed, so we left the keys on the appartment. We could have had a few more plates and glasses… The shower was within a bath tub - not a problem for us - but might not suit everyone.

I had a great two week stay here in Santa Monica. The location is ideal, about a 10 minute walk to the beach, which made morning walks and sunsets incredibly easy. The one bedroom apartment is beautiful and feels very homely. It had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, and the balcony was a really nice bonus space to relax. It felt well set up for both short and longer stays. Overall, a very enjoyable stay and I’d happily come back.

The only issue was that there was no WiFi for the first three days, but it was sorted promptly once raised and communication was good throughout.
