Also worth seeing is the Tibetan Bridge, a classic work of engineering suspended by ropes between opposite banks, the first of its kind in the Veneto and one of the rarities in Italy, connecting the Marano di Valpolicella trail system with that of Sant'Anna d'Alfaedo. Also nearby are the Fumane Caves, which bear witness to the uninterrupted presence of Neanderthal Man and then Homo sapiens sapiens from about 80,000 to 25,000 years ago. Last, but no less interesting, is the Ponte di Veja, which was probably frequented well before the last ice age by a colony of skilled workers of flint artefacts, arrows, points, needles.
