Spacious ground floor apartment a 10 minute walk to the centre. Instructions for parking and check in were clear and the host was very communicative. Bathroom lovely and big and bed super comfy. The smaller bedroom is small and has no opening window as facing the road. Great well equipped kitchen, spacious and plenty of condiments, cleaning products and utensils. Apartment was lovely and warm and the fire in the living room made it very cozy

Poor lighting in main bedroom. Can hear residents in apartment upstairs, creaky floors and someone snoring. I assume it's because it is a house converted into 2 apartments. Would not put me off returning

Location and facilities

2nd bedroom a little snug but not a major issue. Springs on one of the sofas requires some repair. Everything else was perfect

Parking was easy with plenty of spaces when we arrived, the host gave good instructions of where we were able to park. The kitchen was well resourced with everything you could possibly need and dishwasher tablets, condiments and tea and coffee available. It was a little chilly when we first arrived but we boosted the heating and put the electric fire on and it soon warmed up. The bed and sofas were comfortable, it was nice to be able to watch TV and be comfortable. TVs had Netflix on so we could use our own log ins.

A few cobwebs in the bathroom and the door lock was catching so a little tricky to open and lock.

Design of the property is absolutely beautiful, central location and within walking distance of York town centre.

Room was only warm even with the boost on, but it was really cold outside during our stay so it took a while to heat up, especially with us being out for most of the day.
