Inside, the home offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere with a carefully considered layout. Enter through a slate-floored porch with coat hooks and boot storage, leading into a hallway that opens onto the first of two comfortable sitting rooms. The main lounge features exposed beams, an L-shaped sofa seating up to seven, Sky TV, a DVD player, music centre, record player, and an electric fire, perfect for cosy evenings.
The second sitting room, also with exposed beams, is a lovely spot for reading or relaxing, with additional seating, a desk and a television. At the heart of the home is a beautifully finished slate-floored kitchen and dining area. Well-equipped with modern appliances including a double electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and everything needed for home-cooked meals, this is truly the social hub of the house.
Westover offers three comfortable bedrooms and three bathrooms, accessed via two sets of stairs. The master bedroom features a king-size bed, and there is also a twin bedroom and a family bathroom featuring a bath with shower over, wash basin and WC. A second staircase leads to a charming en-suite twin bedroom with its own shower room and lovely sea views.
The cottage also boasts a newly built utility area at the rear, ideal for storing beach gear and wetsuits, with a washing machine and a spacious shower room.
Outside, the large, enclosed terrace gives peace of mind to those with children and pets , it's sun-drenched throughout the day, and equipped with a dining set for six and a barbecue, ideal for relaxed alfresco meals. There is off-road parking for one vehicle at the front of the cottage. St Mawes, with its picturesque harbour, excellent restaurants, pubs, bakeries, and boutique shops, is just a short walk away. You can even hop on the ferry to Falmouth for a day of exploring.
