The Bay Rooms at Glenisle Hotel

Great location with adjacent parking. The staff were friendly and breakfast very tasty. Decent value for money.

The bedroom was a little dated and en-suite quite compact, but everything worked well!

The location was excellent.

Much of our experience was mixed. The room (in an annexe) had an outstanding view, but wasn't so good in some other respects: the shower was fairly poor; the door was hard to open, while the lock was only loosely attached and had to be repaired.

We booked a double room with a sea view, including breakfast. When we arrived we were very impressed with the view and even more so when the man on reception said he had put us in the premier suite. No lift in the hotel so we had to carry our bags up two flights of stairs, but boy was it worth it! A huge bed, sofa and armchair, a bathroom to die for with a free standing tub and a large shower, plus two basins, and wonderful views over the bay and to Holy Isle. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant in the evening and breakfast the following morning was equally tasty. The hotel seemeed to be popular with travellers and locals alike. We will definitely be back when we are in the area.

Apart from a lift, which there was not the room for, nothing. We were only there for one night but were going on to stay in a cottage near Lochgilphead for a week, so we had quite a lot with us, even though we left our biggest suitcase in the car.

The staff were super friendly.

The room was in need of upgrading, paintwork, more comfortable bed, easy chairs in room had very obvious staples in the fabric. Veggie breakfast option was not good.
