Walking distance to the Steinbeck Museum and the lovely part of town near that museum. The hotel itself has some nice and unexpected features. A roll out table for eating and working was a nice surprise. I also quite liked the floors that were not carpeted. No dust or hidden stuff.
Location is good, except the very loud cars driving by, The next update could include windows that insulate from noise better.

I didn't realize the motel offered a breakfast until now, while filling out the post-stay questionnaire. The clerk checking us in didn't mention a breakfast being part of the deal. We did have breakfast at a nearby restaurant called First Awakenings which was a delightful dining experience in a beautiful old building. I highly recommend it.
I guess you could have mentioned the free breakfast!

I liked how close the property was to downtown Salinas
Upon arrival the bathroom could have been a little cleaner, especially the shower,
