About this cottage rental
This cottage is a separate annex located at the end of a 17th and 18th-century residence that was once the castle of the Lord of Mersuay and Bourguignon Les Conflans, Deyle Pierre Maignien de Mersuay. His great-great-granddaughter, Eugénie de Coucy, was born there in 1791. She was the second wife of Marshal of the Empire Nicolas Oudinot and later became Duchess of Reggio.
The village is crossed by the Lanterne River (a first-category fishing river), offering opportunities for fishing, as well as in two nearby ponds with a total surface area of 75 hectares. A 7 km educational trail runs around the perimeter of these ponds, allowing visitors to observe and discover their biodiversity.
The village is also located within a Natura 2000 protected area, with its numerous ponds and wetlands where many bird species thrive, including kingfishers, swans, storks, and mylans.
Numerous cycling and hiking trails are nearby. The Maladière complex, offering swimming, aquagym, aquabiking, swimming, aqua cross fit, and pedal boat rentals, is 15 km away.
All services, including a medical center, doctor, pharmacy, supermarket, bakeries, butcher, bar/restaurant, and tobacconist, are 4 km away.
Local producers selling products are located nearby, including a cheese shop, vegetables, and bison meat. The 40 m² ground-floor accommodation is cozy and tastefully decorated with vintage finds, situated in a peaceful and pleasant setting.
The stay is offered at an all-inclusive rate: beds made upon arrival, utilities included, towels provided, and end-of-stay cleaning included.
