The house is cozy but not tiny, located in a peaceful residential neighborhood only a block down from a CVS, multiple gas stations, and a grocery store (to name a few helpful spots). It was clean without being spotless or clinical, furnished comfortably without being crowded or cluttered. It may be the first rental spot I've booked that wasn't full of things I had to protect from my children or vice versa. The arcade game in the bedroom that my boys slept in was an unexpected treat; I expected it just to be a single old arcade game, but it actually offers more arcade games than I could count. It was fun for all of us, honestly. The dishwasher and clothing washer and dryer were all clean, modern, and performed perfectly. The beds were all comfortable, as was the couch and loveseat on which I even pleasantly napped with my toddler. The backyard had a firepit we didn't use, but we spent plenty of time on the back patio while the kids played tag in the backyard. The instructions for cleanup and check-out were far easier and less involved than any other rental spot I've stayed at that wasn't a hotel. Besides being close to plenty of stores, auto shops, gas stations, fast food, etc., the house also put us less than 10-15 minutes from Legoland, IMAX, and Otherworld.
There is a locked garage you won't be able to park in, but the driveway was fine for our obtrusive 15-passenger van (Enterprise was out of 8-passenger vans, so we ended up with a huge monster to drive and were lucky it was so easy to get in and out of that driveway). If you use the firepit, you'll have to chop the firewood down quite a bit smaller than the huge logs in the back. This may even be something the owner intends to or will do on request, but we didn't need it. We did set off the smoke alarm while frying potstickers one night, so clearly it works well. It is easy to walk around one side of the house to get from backyard to the front yard, which is just something to keep in mind if you have kids and think they are totally fenced in while they are out back. Honestly, I have no actual complaints. It was perfect for us.
