The location was amazing, with a lovely setting and a beautiful front yard offering great views. The place was nicely decorated, and the host was very responsive—always replying to my messages within an hour and being extremely helpful throughout our stay.
The place had a strong old, musty smell. The dishwasher wasn’t cleaning properly and gave off an unpleasant odor. The upstairs tub wasn’t cleaned well, and there wasn’t enough seating in the living room for everyone. None of the windows had mesh screens, so we had to choose between opening them and letting bugs in or keeping them closed and dealing with the damp smell. The beds were old and creaky—just rolling over was enough to wake you up. There was only one very small shower for the whole group, and although there was a tub upstairs, it wasn’t clean and didn’t have a shower attachment.
