There was no Breakfast included in our offer We had Breakfast in a Church at a "Bills Restaurant", which was great There was Hot water for The Baththe Bathroom was large We loved the Photos of House before Renovation when a Vet lived there. We walked along The River Wye to Belmont where my old friend and Work Colleague now lives. We lloved the old bare wooden floor and how, like all old buildings, nothing was level We also loved the Decor and The Bed. To get to our Room there were 3 Locks with different Combinations ! No probs.

Wonderful location near the river. The accommodation is exceptional , we were lucky enough to have access to 2 beautiful double bedrooms with fabulous bathrooms. The beds and bed linen were like sleeping in a cloud ! The property was very very clean and the restoration in keeping with the beautiful 17th century house. The facilities were very good and we were lucky enough to have breakfast and an evening meal in the on site cafe. Exceptional food and service. All of the staff we met were friendly and very professional. Particular mention to James the manager who went above and beyond and was very professional and welcoming. We were lucky to meet the owner Gary who was also very welcoming.
It is important to note that the accommodation is within a complex of venues and that there are often lots of events taking place. On our second night there was an event that went on until very late and the music and people were very loud . This meant it was impossible to sleep until the event finished. However we would still wish to return given the quality of the accommodation and the welcome from the staff.

Historic building with antique furniture, old beams, decent size rooms
At night the entry gate is hard to locate. It’s an obscure side street and secured with a lock with a kind of wire sticking out of it and a very stiff keyhole which we have a real problem trying to unlock. Once you get through this gate, there are three lock doors to then get through each with a different numeric combination. The first of which is so stiff we thought we weren’t going to get in at all. Once we got to the to the second locked door, we found two rooms and the organisers had not told us which of the two we were booked into as far as I can see then more numeric combinations and finally we entered. just a note in order to leave the building you have to enter all the numbers again and lock the doors behind you. The whole thing seemed a little crazy at best and at worst could make real problems under a fire hazard. Felt unsafe. Take a torch . If you have sight or disability problems this place would be very hard to get into or out of. The chair and curtain were ripped and no glasses in the room. You feel the owners don’t care too much. One of the weirder set ups we’ve stayed in.
