Located in Homewood and bordered by national forest, our home is just one block from the scenic Rubicon Trail. In winter, you're a quick drive from Homewood Mountain Resort, ideal for skiers and snowboarders. In summer, explore Meeks Bay Beach or paddleboard on Lake Tahoe. The area is peaceful and family-friendly, with easy access to local hikes and shoreline spots.

Getting Around:
A car is recommended for this area. There is no public shuttle access, but the home provides 4 on-site parking spots. Please note street parking is not allowed. The nearby Rubicon Trail can be accessed by foot

Other Things to Note:
Please keep in mind that if you plan to ski, you are responsible for verifying the ski resorts’ opening and closing dates.

Please note that like most homes in the area, this home does not have A/C.

4-wheel drive or 2-wheel drive tires with snow chains may be necessary for safe travel to this property, even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days.

This house uses a standard Tahoe electric bear wire with simple instructions on exterior doors and windows. No pets or smoking.

Our family of 12 gathered from various parts of the country for a fabulous five days at the Creekside Chalet and what a wonderful time was had by all! While the photos and description on VRBO were what initially got our attention, the actual experience was beyond expectations on all levels! The house itself was spacious, yet gave the feeling of warmth and comfort! The five bedrooms, including two master suites, the three full bathrooms, the well appointed kitchen, the dining area where we could all sit down at the same time for meals, the large common areas with plenty of comfortable seating, floor space, large windows letting in lots of natural light….. I could go on and on! I need to mention that every light switch throughout the chalet was labeled! This was most helpful! Information and overall procedures were clearly stated and present! There were so many small details that the owners paid attention to which added to all of us feeling at home! The backyard had furniture, barbecue grill, and tables and chairs. The location was convenient to local beaches, hiking and bike trails, restaurants, etc. It is also worth noting that the property management company was easily accessible and responsive when we contacted them with a couple of questions during our stay,Every summer, we choose a different location for our destination, family vacation. This experience ranks at the top of the places we have gone to over the past five years. It was overall awesome!

This property was fantastic, the location was good, the house had everything we needed and my kids were never bored. If we never left the house we still would have had an amazing time with everything that was available to us. And when we did go out they had chairs, life jackets and many other things that made our trip stress free.
