Super location. Bedroom and bathroom both lovely and the added bonus of free parking (sheltered within the courtyard). Very peaceful. Really nicely decorated in the bedroom and bathroom, very modern and cosy at the same time. Warm and clean.
There was no washing machine. Barnard Castle is a classic walking and hiking location, so muddy/sweaty clothes happen. There isn’t a laundry service in the town either so for longer stays it’s not feasible. There was a dishwasher which I felt would be better replaced by a washing machine (since the space in the kitchen is limited) and you can wash dishes in the sink.
Also felt the use of furniture in the living area could have been better, ie put a larger sofa so you can sit there and remove the armchairs. And the dining table is also tiny - huge footstool though? :) with some rethinking of the space the living area could be utilized much better.
