Wonderful home in Portree, and perfect for our family of four to have some space to stretch out. Very clean and well taken care of. The kids adored their "house" on the Isle and cuddling up in front of the electric heaters. The upstairs shower was fantastic, beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed, including some essentials. It's just a short walk to the Coop Grocery Store to purchase groceries, or to the local shops and places to eat. Great basecamp for day trips around the Isle of Skye. Owner was communicative and responsive.
There were some folks that drove wayyyy too fast down the road in front of the home, so take caution when crossing or parking. Please note none of this has anything to do with the property itself or the owner - they don't control the public roads nor the drivers that use them and this is just more of an informative thing. We lucked out on parking and were able to find a spot all three nights - one night we did have to circle back but still ended up finding a spot. We came in pretty early each night, if you come in late parking in front may be more difficult.

We loved everything about our four night stay at the Blue House.
The location was perfect- very central and right on the waterfront with lovely views.
The house was very spacious and very tastefully decorated. It had absolutely everything you needed including lots of all the basics in the kitchen (tea, coffee, sugar, spices, salt, pepper, oils and vinegars).
The welcome food and drink basket was a lovely touch.
Our host Jamie was exceptional - always available and very helpful.
We rarely rate properties a 10 but this place definitely deserves it 🤗
