The location is great, because the charshija is around the corner, and the lake is also nearby. You have a supermarket in the same building that also works on Sundays, so this is a big plus too. The host was friendly and because I was a local from another city, we were able to form some bond and even talk life. He responded to my call instantly and we were able to meet with no inconvenience. There is also like a kitchen section just outside of the building, but I didn't get to use it as I wasn't in Ohrid for long. It'll possibly be more pricey in the summer, but for now it is totally worth it. And the host also let me check out later than the formal agreement, since I came tired from my flight from Tirana, which is something one shouldn't take for granted, and few hosts are this cool.
Nothing I didn't like related to the hostel, but related to the city itself, there is dog pack just outside the bus station, which can be a red flag for tourists, and I hope the municipality fixes this sooner rather than later.

The hospitality was bar none. The managers father was extremely helpful and very kind above and beyond
The bed was extremely uncomfortable not so much the mattress but the actual bed frame that was very noisy when turning over
