One Lux Stay - Hollywood

The location of this property is amazing. You can easily access Universal Studios (15 mins), West Hollywood/beverly hills (20) , Griffith (8-10), Los feliz (8-10), silver lake/echo park (10-20), and downtown (20-25). Secure private parking is also great. Views of Hollywood sign/griffith from unit balcony and rooftop are a plus. Also, great amenities with gym and pool deck. Target and plenty of restaurants nearby. Building has security and feels safe. The surrounding neighborhood is lively, but didn’t feel unsafe. Great dining options in Los Feliz, in addition to many great options nearby.

None of these are deal breakers and I would rent here again if we found ourselves back in LA. You do overlook busy Home Depot parking lot. Not a deal breaker but windows don’t block lively outside noises. Also, pool didn’t appear to be heated, so even on warm days my kids didn’t want to get in. Rental agency does need to figure out an easier and more secure payment method, rather than Zelle or Apple Cash. With so much fraud these days sending cash to a random person doesn’t feel great.

The place was clean, well equipped, the furniture and beds were comfortable, and the building is well equipped with loads of amenities.

Having an apartment in such a large city is very handy with good facilities and amenities like the gym and pool

1st. Arranging payment. The payment should’ve come out of booking.com but instead I had to try send it through ApplePay which we don’t have in the UK. I then had to transfer thousands of pounds across to some random Pilipino PayPal account not knowing if I’ve got accommodation or not which thankfully I did but it wasn’t a good feeling at all. 2nd. The location isn’t ideal at all. Numerous drug dealings happen on the corner by the Home Depot car park entrance and there’s gangs hanging around which is intimidating when trying to go on a walk.
