About this cottage rental
This 17th and 18th-century residence was once the castle of the Lord of Mersuay and Bourguignon-lès-Conflans, Deyle Pierre Maignien de Mersuay. His great-great-granddaughter, Eugénie de Coucy, was born here in 1791. She was the second wife of Marshal Oudinot and Duchess of Reggio. Completely restored and tastefully decorated, it houses two adjoining gîtes, including this one, "La Demeure d'Eugénie" (Eugénie's Residence).
The Maladière complex, offering swimming, aquagym, aquabiking, swimming, aqua cross fit, and pedal boat rentals, is 15 km away.
All services, including a medical center, doctor, pharmacy, supermarket, bakeries, butcher, bar/restaurant, and tobacconist, are 4 km away.
Local producers nearby, cheese shop, vegetables, bison meat...
Fishing enthusiasts can indulge their favorite pastime in two lakes covering 75 hectares, as well as in the Lanterne River, which flows through the village and is classified as a first-category fishing river. A 7 km educational trail around the perimeter of this lake allows visitors to observe and discover numerous bird species, including kingfishers, swans, storks, kites, and more.
Numerous cycling and hiking trails are nearby. This independent cottage, accessible from the courtyard of the main house bordering the main street, can accommodate twelve people on three floors.

The ground floor comprises a fully equipped kitchen, a room with a foosball table and exercise bike, a living room seating 10-12 people with a TV, a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer, an iron and ironing board, as well as two walk-in showers and two toilets. A hairdryer and vacuum cleaner are also provided.
On the first floor, there are three bedrooms:
"Flowers" with a double bed (160x200 cm)
"Boats" with a double bed (160x200 cm)
A master bedroom with two single beds (90x190 cm) leading to the "Provençal" bedroom with a double bed (160x200 cm)
The third floor offers a relaxation area with armchairs, a television, board games, and books.
On either side of this space are two charming attic bedrooms, one with two single beds (90x190 cm) and the other with a double bed (160x200 cm).
Bernard, the host, will gladly share historical anecdotes about the Duchess and Marshal Oudinot.
Sheets, towels, final cleaning, heating, electricity, and hot and cold water are included. Equipment for babies and young children is available (travel cot, high chair, changing table with integrated bathtub, and children's tableware). Beds are made upon arrival.
