This luxurious property is ideally situated just a short distance from Moycullen and Oughterard, and only a 20-minute drive from Galway City. It’s the perfect retreat for families or groups of friends, offering an ideal base for exploring Connemara, the Wild Atlantic Way, and Galway itself. The nearby villages of Moycullen (9km) and Oughterard (5km) provide a great selection of bars, restaurants, cafes, and shops, catering to all your needs during your self-catering stay. Galway City (20km) offers an even wider array of shops, eateries, and services. A local bar is located less than 1km from the property.
Roscahill Woods, just a few steps away, offers lovely trails through the forest and along the river and lake. A short drive will take you to Bridgit’s Garden and Café, where you can experience a magical journey through Celtic heritage. Local activities include guided angling and boat hire on Lough Corrib, as well as a round of golf at Oughterard Golf Club (3km). For adventure seekers, nearby attractions include horse riding, hiking routes, Aughnanure Castle, Glengowla Mines, the Derroura Mountain Bike Trail, Wild Lands, and an alpaca farm. This self-catering holiday property can comfortably accommodates 8 guests. It features a spacious sitting room, four large bedrooms (two with an en-suite bathroom), a generously sized kitchen and dining area, a utility room, and two family bathrooms.
Upon entry, you are welcomed by a bright and spacious entrance hall that leads to all the main rooms. The living room is furnished with cozy sofas, a TV, a wood burning stove fireplace, a coffee table, and lamps, offering views of the front garden, surrounding countryside, and nearby woodlands. The kitchen is modern and well-equipped, featuring a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, cooker, hob, toaster, electric kettle, coffee maker, and microwave. The utility room contains a washing machine, dryer, an airfryer, a sandwich toaster and additional storage.
The dining area includes a large table with seating for 8 guests, making it perfect for shared meals. Bedroom 1: Queen Bed, Bedroom 2: Full Bed (Double), Bedroom 3: 2 Twin Beds and Bedroom 4: King Bed. All of the bedrooms have bedside lockers, lamps, and ample wardrobe and shelving space. Two bedroom features an en-suite bathroom with a shower, sink, and WC.
For families with young children, a travel cot and highchair are available. The property is equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, and while pets are not allowed, the property is centrally heated throughout for year-round comfort. Linen, towels, electricity, and heating are all included in the rental price. Short breaks are available, and free on-site parking is provided.

The house was spacious, clean and absolutely lovely. Comfortable bedrooms, great living room for a group, spacious dining room and fabulous kitchen! We loved the location - not too far from Galway, and super close to a charming town that had pubs, markets, really everything you would need. The welcome basket was a nice touch!

My husband and I, along with my 2 sons and their wives, stayed at this lovely property during our trip across Ireland. It was very clean and inviting. There was a nice welcome basket waiting for us upon our arrival. It is located in a quiet area, so is very peaceful. Our host, Jackie, was very easy to reach and quick to answer a question I had. I would highly recommend this property. You will not be dissatisfied with your stay here.

This is a beautiful new home with all the amenities you could ask for and such considerate hosts! All the special touches like the basket of snacks, convenient book of local attractions, and even toothbrushes were appreciated! It is super close to Augnanure Castle, which is well worth the trip! We highly recommend this house.
