Inspired by traditional clinker fishing boats used by coastal communities like Northumberland’s Lindisfarne Island, this glamping cabin offers a unique nautical charm combined with all the comforts needed for an all-season retreat. The private front decking and side gravelled area provide stunning views over the lake towards Bristol Lodge, former home of author Catherine Cookson, creating an idyllic setting for relaxation and unwinding.
Inside, the cabin features a well-equipped kitchenette with a sink, kettle, toaster, fridge with small ice box, double ceramic hob, and electric oven with grill—ideal for preparing meals. A fold-down dining table with chairs offers a cozy space for dining, while a 28” smart TV with DVD player and WiFi ensures entertainment during your stay. The en-suite shower room includes a flushing toilet, shower, sink, and shaver socket. Heating is provided by an electric heater, making the cabin comfortable year-round.
Guests can make the most of the surrounding nature with provided bird spotting and stargazing guides, along with OS explorer maps for walking and wildlife exploration. The site also features a nautical-themed children’s play area, including a cargo net, slide, balance beams, small boat, and raised platform—perfect for imaginative pirate adventures.
