About this cottage rental
This large, detached barn is situated in a secluded rural setting, making it the perfect retreat for families and groups of friends looking for peace and privacy. The ground floor features an open-plan design with underfloor heating, ideal for gatherings. Each bedroom is designed for couples, with bathrooms that boast either two-person baths or large showers equipped with anti-mist mirrors. The family bedroom includes a single bed with a pull-out mattress beneath. Guests can enjoy a south-facing patio in the lawned garden, which also has a hot tub. Located on a non-working farm, the property offers a serene setting, perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation. The farm is set at the end of a 1-mile rural track and is surrounded by 4 acres of land, including a beautiful natural pond. This tranquil environment is ideal for unwinding or even fishing. While secluded, the property is within easy reach of the Peak District’s attractions, including the city of Derby, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, and Carsington Water with its nature trails and water sports. Nearby villages offer excellent pubs, and the towns of Ashbourne and Bakewell are worth exploring. Dovedale and Markeaton Park are also within driving distance. The property is accessible via a single track lane, adding to its secluded charm.
