About this cottage rental
The accommodation, classified 3 * is located in Alsace near the Regional Park of Vosges du Nord 10 minutes from Haguenau and 45 minutes from Strasbourg by highway. As part of a beautiful farmhouse, this former small distillery, completely renovated and completely independent of the house of the owners offers all the peace and privacy necessary to spend an unforgettable moment. A large carriage door secures the farmyard. Surrounded by a large park of 5500 m2 with an orchard, the little house overlooking a vegetable garden and south-east facing terrace you can watch the stork's nest located 50 m. The house of 42 m2 has 2 levels. The ground floor houses a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom and a toilet. The bedroom and living room are located on the 1st floor them. The kitchen is functional and equipped. It is open on a dining room table and chairs for 4 people. In addition to the central heating, and soon it will cost, stove - lit fireplace will greet you upon arrival. There is a fridge, hob, oven and microwave, coffee maker and all the services you need.
The bathroom, pastel green, contains a large walk-in shower 90 x 110 cm and a toilet .The all modern and very practical.
In the lease are included commodities for cooking, hygiene and cleaning.
You reach the 1st level of 22 m2 with a staircase that leads directly to the living room. There is a sofa, a small staff and a television area. The lounge is open on the bedroom which features a large double bed 160/200 cm and a wardrobe to store your belongings. The mattress is very comfortable, you will spend the most peaceful nights.
There is also the possibility to accommodate a child on a spare mattress.
The Village restaurant, serving Alsatian specialties is 50 m.
You have access to WIFI.
In good weather a genuine Willys Jeep Tour 1944 can be arranged.
The bathroom, pastel green, contains a large walk-in shower 90 x 110 cm and a toilet .The all modern and very practical.

This is a really delightful property. We explored the all is Alsace area in the daytime and came back here for a picnic dinner on the patio each evening. The hosts are very charming and we muddled through our language barrier. We enjoyed delightful homemade jam, and learning about his watercolor techniques since I’m interested in that.

This property is unbelievable, from the sweet guesthouse to the gardens and especially the lovely and thoughtful hosts. They meticulously curated binders of information about places to visit, what nights local restaurants are open, and the bedding was very comfortable. (Side bar: don't trust Google's hours for restaurants! We visited at least 4 places that listed themselves as open online and were not serving food during the listed hours!). This was a once-in-a-lifetime trip for us, but if we're ever lucky enough to come back to France, we'll gladly stay here again and would absolutely recommend to our friends and family to stay here.

We had a 3 night stay here on the the long drive north from Italy. The 'little house' is just that. Spacious for two, very well equipped and very clean and well presented. Parking is right outside the door. The 'farm' is set in the village centre. Completely renovated, it boasts several large barns and a large courtyard. Our hosts were delightful. A few goodies, including delicious homemade jams for the breakfast baguette. The courtyard and barns are stuffed with old artifacts and the large shady garden is accessible and very pleasant indeed. It's a fascinating place. The hosts were very accommodating and helpful but privacy is ensured. On the edge of the garden is a large platform on a pole with a Storks nest on top! The Stork pair roosted there and it was delightful to watch their antics from the patio. The local area was lovely and the nearby Lalique museum was wonderful. A great property to stay in.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. Where to start? The hosts were kind, gracious and inviting. Wonderful people.
The house is more beautiful than the pictures. They can't replicate the setting. It is idyllic in every sense of the word. The accommodations are not luxurious but represent, in my opinion and my mind, the epitome of French farm lifestyle. The gardens are exquisite. The entire compound is direct from a movie set.
We stayed in early June and the daily high temperatures were in the low 70s F and nightly lows were in the mid to upper 50s. We were very comfortable. I don't believe there is air conditioning, so that may factor into your decision should you come in the middle of July.
It exceeded my expectations in every way. The town is quaint, the countryside is bucolic defined. The access to neighboring towns and tourist sites is quite easy.
We had dinner (wine, cheese, bread, fruits and pastries) every night on the tiny back balcony that overlooked the garden and watched the storks nesting no more than 50m away. Had to pinch myself at how awe inspiringly gorgeous the house was.
100/100 would recommend.
