About this cabin rental
Nestled on a level, tree-studded 2/3 acre flat lot, this 4-bedroom, 2-alcove home features beautiful log woodwork creating a classic cabin feel. Situated in the heart of Twain Harte, you'll be close to town but on a quiet street. The cabin is ideal for larger families, its 4 bedrooms sleeping 10 with 3 queen and1double sleigh bed, as well as 2 single beds in the adjoining alcoves. All bedrooms are upstairs and have remote control fans. The upstairs bath has been completely remodeled, highlighted with a spacious rock floor shower. Cable, Smart TV and wireless Internet is available, as well as board games, karaoke and a badminton set.
Rentals are two-day minimum, a week minimum in the summer, from the end part of June through the end of August. Please ask us about pets, our accomodations for them and our specific rules. We have a fully refundable pet deposit for guests wanting to bring their pets and follow the rules.
Guests can enjoy our huge, beautiful deck under the trees, perfect for lounging and entertaining , with chaises, chairs and a bench picnic table, a large gas BBQ and a 3-person swing that adults and kids love. Deer visits are common on our large lot.
We are Twain Harte Lake members, our guests have privileges to buy daily tickets. Talk to us about how this works. We provide some beach chairs and rafts. For golfers, a relaxing round at Twain Harte Golf Course is just a 1/4 mile away.

Gail was friendly and answered all my questions promptly. Everything you need is provided including kitchen towels, soap, foil, plastic wrap, spices, a NEW in the wrapper kitchen sponge, shampoo, conditioner and body wash, laundry soap, everything! It was hot when we visited so we used the ceiling fans and pulled out the floor fans. Opened the windows and by bedtime it was cool enough to sleep comfortably. The property is walking distance to downtown where we enjoyed exploring the live music, restaurants and mini golf. We chose to drive to the lake because we had a bunch of stuff. Can’t bring your own food in but the snack shack makes restaurant quality food at a reasonable price. The cabin is comfortable, clean and the neighborhood is quiet. We would definitely stay here again.

The home was warm with knotty pine walls alongside nicely updated bathrooms.We each had comfortable rooms and slept well in the fresh mountain air.We were in a prime place to walk into town and enjoy a meal and also to wander and explore, hike or swim in a lake.Great communication with a quick response to questions.It may have been our best place ever in Twain Harte!

Outside:- Only one cushion for the entire deck furniture - Grill Filthy and rusty- Lighter button didn't work- When I turned on the gas, it smelled, so not sure if there is a leak- Wasn't able to use the grill Kitchen:- Several dishes, pans, etc...were dirty- Coffee machine leaks- Handle to the oven loose- Lodge pans were rusty and not seasoned- No dish or hand soap in the kitchen- Drawers were dirty and not organizedLiving Room:- No coffee table- Couch was really old - Tried to use the pellet heater, but it didnt work- Giant heater gave off terrible smell even after running for 15m- Wifi didn't work and when I went to check the modem (which was behind the tv) I was shocked by the amount of dust and dirt behind the tv set along with an old filthy stuffed animal. - Since the wifi didn't work, we were unable to use the smart tvUpstairs:- Window treatment in the bedroom over an open window- window treatment falling of several windows- Lack of window shades- Dresser missing a handle- Drawer liners stained or missing- Bathroom - looks like they did a remodel, but clearly the job wasnt completed, because there is no baseboard molding- No window shade in several roomSome positives:- Pac Man Machine was fun- Location to the downtown area was great- Shower upstairs was great- Deck was large and in good condition
