We had a wonderful week in Aups at the Mantet house. The house is placed just outside Aups in the beautiful and peaceful landscape among vines and olive trees. The charming village with restaurants and market is just a 15 minutes walk away. The landlord Cathy is very friendly and helpful. She only speaks French, though, which made long conversations difficult. We would have loved to talk more with her and hear about the region and their production of very delicious olive oil. The house itself is very well-equipped and clean. However, when it is very warm a fan would be nice for the night. But we absolutely love the terrace with the wine pergola. All our meals took place here in the shade during day time. At night you could look at the stars and listen to the cicadas. Also the pool area is lovely with good sun beds for the whole family and cooling water. If you look for a quiet place in lovely surroundings, this is the place to stay. We would love to come back :)

Das kleine, ruhig gelegene Ferienhaus ist ein ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für viele Ausflüge zu idyllisch gelegenen Bergdörfern, dem Stausee Lac de Sainte Croix und zur Verdon Schlucht. Der schöne Ort Aups bietet alles für den täglichen Bedarf, ein interessantes Museum über den Trüffelanbau und ist zu Fuß in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Am Ferienhaus haben uns besonders die von Weinreben überrankte Terrasse, der nahgelegene Pool und der herrliche Blick über die Olivenbäume bis hin zu den Bergen von Aix-en-Provence gefallen. Bei der Ausstattung des Hauses sind insbesondere das neue Doppelbett, ein gemütliches Sofa und die gut ausgestattete Küche zu erwähnen. Auch für Rennradfahrer ist das Haus aufgrund der herrlichen Tourenmöglichkeiten wunderbar geeignet. Die gastfreundlichen und sympathischen Besitzer geben gerne Auskünfte über Radtouren, Restaurants und die schönsten Ausflugsziele der Umgebung. Insgesamt eine empfehlenswerte Unterkunft, um die typische Provence kennen zu lernen und sich vom Stress der Großstadt zu erholen!
