this is a lovely apartment with everything provided to have a comfortable and easy stay. The views of the mountains from the patio and the murmuring of the water coming from the well make this an idyllic place to sit, relax, unwind and enjoy local cheese and wine. The hosts, Michèle and Daniel are warm, welcoming, and ready to answer any questions The surrounding area is gorgeous and Castellane is a lovely village.
. I can't wait to go back.

We had a wonderful 2weeks in this cosy studio. It's a 25min walk through the woods to Castellane, and although on quite a main road, the windows and door open onto fields and beautiful mountain views, so there is no noise disturbance at night. Michèle and Daniel are the most delightful hosts - even driving us to the start of the Sentier Blanc-Martel walk, and rushing out to replace the TV - and kindness itself. We would have happily moved in with them! Nothing was too much trouble.
The property is clean, and perfect for two, with a thoughtfully equipped kitchen, comfortable bedding, and good shower pressure. We really enjoyed picking raspberries and herbs in the garden, and filling up our bottles from the water fountain. If you like wild swimming, the Chaudane Lake is a short bike ride away (Bikes, helmets and backpacks are all provided!), otherwise Castillon is a 10min drive. There is excellent food to be had in Castellane, but make sure you get Michèle and Daniel's recommendations as we had a truly dreadful galette there one night when we strayed off-piste!
An absolutely beautiful base for exploring the area, with some of the nicest hosts we've ever met.

The location of this property was ideal. Although just off the main road it was peaceful with wonderful views from the terrace. A short bike ride away (bikes and helmets provided) was a stunning lake and the beautiful town of Castellane was a five minute drive away. Lots of space for parking. A good sized supermarket located on other side of Castellane. The other reviewers have said it all about the apartment - it was clean, well provisioned, shower was great and if we needed anything - such as maps of the area - the very hospitable owners were willing to provide it. Michele and Daniel were lovely company and very generous. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an unfussy place to stay.

The studio apartment was an ideal place for us, somewhere where we could rest at the end of a busy day sightseeing, not only this but it is set in a beautiful location with outstanding views of the mountains and just a 5 minute drive from the town of Castellane, which is a beautiful place to visit.
The property offered enough space for 2 people and did not feel at all cramped. The apartment was clean and tidy.
The owners were really pleasant and friendly and on the evening that we arrived had left some flowers in our room and a couple of beers in the fridge to welcome us (which were greatly received after a long day of travelling). They invited us up to their apartment/terrace the following evening for an apéritif which was thoroughly enjoyable. They went above and beyond to be of assistance and make our stay an enjoyable experience, offering us maps of the area, brochures, the use of bikes and even walking boots. On the morning we left, we enjoyed a farewell coffee with them.
I would definitely recommend this place. A lovely little apartment, charming owners and a beautiful part of The South of France to visit. :)
