The Stow Horse Fair is held twice a year, typically on the Thursday closest to 12th May and the Thursday closest to 24th October, however, we would recommend checking the exact date ahead of placing your booking. This is a traditional fair for gypsies and travelling people to meet up and trade which dates back to 1476 when its Charter was granted. Stow is very busy for a day or two before and after each fair, and a number of shops, pubs and restaurants are closed. Whilst many visitors enjoy the colour and vibrancy associated with the fairs, other visitors prefer to avoid Stow on these dates

Great location, so tranquil, loved all the walks on the doorstep. You don’t need to use your car. Stow only a 10/15 minutes walk where there are an abundance of shops, good quality restaurants, bars and cafes. Dog friendly too. The cottage was comfortable, beautifully clean and had everything you needed. Absolutely loved our stay, thank you!

Overall really enjoyed the solitude but being close to Stow. 1/2 mile walk to town. Small cottage but was enough. We had a couple of small issues but property management was right on it. Cooked in the kitchen a few times - stove is a little challenging to understand. Same with washer/dryer. Peaceful setting.

Well located for Stow on the Wold. The property was well equipped and very clean. Parking adjacent the cottage was a bonus. Our only negative observation was that more comfy outdoor furniture would be beneficial. Overall a very nice cottage which we would recommend

Delightful cottage in a quiet hamlet with lovely views and yet just a short walk away up into Stow and all it facilities, restaurants, shops etc. Comfortable bed and sofa. Lovely double shower and a well kitted out kitchen. We took our dog who thoroughly enjoyed the large paddock for safe off lead exercise. Plenty of parking on the drive. Various places to visit just a short drive away and plenty of walks directly from the cottage.
