About this house rental
Surfview is truly a special place. Ask any of our guests and they will tell you… about the VIEW! But that is not all they will tell you. Our home is comfortably furnished and thoughtfully appointed with all of the amenities that you could wish for while on vacation. Our oceanview kitchen is well stocked with cookware and appliances as well as spices and baking necessities. The kitchen is truly a joy to cook in. Relax and enjoy the view in either living room or family room. Each has it’s own large 65" flatscreen Satellite TV (with Roku) which makes it comfortable for families with smaller children. We have a large wrap around deck perfect for grilling outdoors.
The house is located on a quiet cul-de-sac with (easy) private beach access just a 2 minute walk from the house. If grandma and grandpa don’t want to go to the beach, it’s not a problem as they can watch all of the happenings right from the comfort of our living room and family room windows.
Please note: While the house is one level, there are some stairs required to get into the house. Specifically, there are 5 stairs, then a small landing, and then another 5 stairs to the front door. Please inquire if you have additional questions.

We enjoyed our stay in Yachats, beautiful views, beautiful weather. It was great. The house was fabulous, there isn't anything that comes to mind that I would recommend to change about the property. Five stars from us!

I am having a difficult time figuring out the best "rating" for our experience with this property. In some respects... location, cleanliness, the amenities that came with the house.... the score is excellent. But there are a few what I would describe as "issues". Overall, my husband and I, and our small dog, enjoyed our stay very much. AMAZING views and wildlife. The people and their dogs playing on the sand by the river were MORE than entertaining.It looked to us like there had been a lot of recent updates and improvements to the house... carpeting, appliances, countertops, two really nice tv's. But... There was no mention anywhere in the description of the house of the ten stairs that need to be navigated to reach the front door... or the dozen or so stairs from the back yard to the deck. Our dog is old and so are we... He had to be carried up and down the stairs. There was no lighting on the back yard stairs and poor lighting on the front. Hard to carry a dog, a flash light, and keep your balance. I suggest including info about the stairs in the advertising rather than the misleading "One level living" description. Additionally, the sliding glass door needs work. It is extremely hard to move back and forth on the track. We could barely move it. The screen with this door had several large vertical rips. There were a few other problems but as I have already said, it is a great house in a fantastic location. So we chose to overlook the negatives.

This home has a spectacular panoramic view of the bay where the Yachats River meets the Pacific. Diverse assortment of sea birds, too! Easy access to beach and fine dining just around the corner! The house is clan, comfy, roomy and the kitchen had an ample supply of cookware.
