Do you need a quiet, relaxing place to seek inspiration? Located in Primm Springs TN just outside of Leipers Fork and an easy 45 minute ride from Nashville via multiple routes, this home is a comfortable retreat from all your worries.
In spite of its rural and tranquil location this home is conveniently located an easy drive to other local destinations such as Franklin, Nashville, The Natchez Trace Parkway, Spring Hill, Dickson, Fairview, Columbia, Summertown, Ethridge and Centerville. It is a great spot to have as a home base if you want to explore middle Tennessee.
There are three bedrooms, but there is also a queen sleeper sofa in the living room, and we have custom made barn doors that can be pulled shut to provide a separate private sleeping area at bedtime. Out back, you will find a covered, screened porch and a grill. A newly constructed deck overlooks the beautiful rock formations of the creek branch out back. In the spring there are thousands of daffodils around the house and on the other side of the road. Across the road and down the cul de sac is a gorgeous larger hardpan creek ideal for wading. Bring your water shoes! In the yard we have a garden and a spacious fenced in area for your dog. We are dog friendly. Any other pets are subject to approval. Although we did enjoy our 3 days at the cottage, our stay didn't begin well. It's a nicely restored vintage home with interesting nostalgic decor in a beautiful relaxing rural setting. Our family of 6 adults arrived & unloaded after 2 days of travel from TX to find the cottage hadn't been serviced from the prior guests. There was some confusion with management concerning what exactly was ours & what was left behind by prior guests. To clarify, none of the mess was ours, except the luggage in the corner of each room & the groceries on the kitchen table. Everything else ... unmade beds, dirty towels, bathroom toiletries, food items & lots of pet hair were remaining from former guests. Management was quick to respond & worked to service the home to late in the evening, but were obviously pressed for time. We went to dinner & returned to still find some things unsatisfactory. Luckily, we had lint brushes in our luggage to clean pet hair from upholstery & were able to wash bedding that was covered in pet hair. To make it clear, we love pets & have 3 dogs of our own, although we don't travel with them, nor do we allow them on furniture. Overall, the home appeared to be well kept, & this incident may have been an unusual occurrence, but no explanation or concessions were offered for the trouble it caused us. We truly hope the owner, management & housekeeping can work together to prevent this in the future because it is a nice cottage in a beautiful area.
