About this cabin rental
Experience complete serenity in the middle of the beautiful Ozark Mountains near some of the clearest rivers and streams. Whether you just want a quiet get away to take in all nature has to offer or you want to float, kayak, trail ride, hike, fish, boat, sxs ride, explore beautiful springs, search for the wild horse herds or just do nothing! Book The NEW Bunk House cabin at Old Desperado Ranch. The Bunk House is a studio type cabin with beautiful western cowboy decor! 4 horse stalls to rent.
The bunkhouse is a 12 x 20 cabin with a queen bed with a twin bunk over the top of it. Large full bathroom , full kitchen including a dining table. Cabin is equipped with a stackable washer and dryer as well. The backside of the cabin has a large deck overlooking a small creek and four 12 x 12 Horse stalls for our BYOH guess. This cabin is best suited for a couple or with small children. The property also has a western themed bar on site offering all types of cold drinks, pizza, ice cream, and various other snack snacks. Limited hours, but available on request as well! Horseback riding available on site.
~ Other things to note:
It should be noted that our properties are located in a rural somewhat remote area of the Ozarks, where you will find many different forms of wildlife. Raccoons, deer, mice, snakes, eagles, wild hogs, black bear, skunks and opossums and may be a nuisance at certain times of the year. Other pest, such as ants, wasps, mosquitoes, spiders, bees, flies and gnats also live nearby. Each property has a regular/quarterly pest control device, but we cannot guarantee against guests seeing any animals or pests during their stay and therefor no refunds will be made for this.

Property is within a few miles in either direction to the Current or the Jacks Fork rivers. Local outfitters will pickup from the cabin. The Bunk House is a a studio type cabin with queen bunk bed (twin over top MAX 150lbs) complete with all linens, that includes a twin trundle bed (MAX 175 lbs) as well. The cabin has a full kitchen stocked with everything you need to cook your meals (minus the food). The kitchen has microwave, coffee pot w/ complimentary coffee, toaster, crock pot, dishes, pots & pans, cooking and eating utensils and more! It also has a beautiful full bathroom including towels. There is a lovely sitting porch and a spacious deck area as well overlooking the creek. The cabin has a fire pit and BBQ grill. We also have horse stalls available to rent for your horses! Trailrides available by reservation. We are pet friendly but require $10 pet fee per day and $50 pet deposit that it is refundable as long as there is no sign of the pet in the cabin. 2 max and pets may not be left unattended in the cabin unless in a kennel and pets may not be on the furniture. The cabin also has a brand new stall barn with four covered 10 x 12 stalls for BYOH guests. Stalls are $10 per night per horse. We also offer half day guided trail rides in the area through the valleys, hills and creeks for an additional charge directly at the ranch. Please inquire directly and advance reservations are required. Please be sure to review the cancellation policy, date changes require a 30 day notice and there are no refunds for early departures. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING đźš ANY OF OUR CABINS & ZERO TOLERANCE FOR ILLEGAL DRUG USE ANYWHERE ON THE PROPERTY. YOU WILL BE MADE TO LEAVE AND FORFEIT SECURITY DEPOSIT.

The Bunkhouse was nice. Pretty small but big enough for 2 adults. I wouldn’t try to squeeze anyone else in. Futon is very small. Unfortunately we lost power every time it rained & numerous power surges all week long. It was pitch black when out but luckily we had two small flashlights to help us find our way around. I recommend the host put a lantern or something in the cabin or at least offer some sort of light if power goes out. We had trouble with the coded lock on the door. Got locked out. No grill or picnic table was located by our cabin. We had very little interaction with host. Overall it was a cute cabin. It was clean. The Whiskey Saloon was never open. Their 3 dogs were sweethearts. The National Riverway is absolutely gorgeous!
