- Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in this home. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet.
-Due to extreme wildfire risk, any type of outdoor wood-burning fireplaces, fire pits, or charcoal grills are strictly prohibited. Violations will result in fines starting at $5,000 per Lake Tahoe short term rental regulations.
- Please note that this home does not have access to Tahoe Donner Amenities.
- Please note that we do not provide firewood.
- Please note our occupancy includes an additional two beyond bed count. Trifold floor mattresses and additional linens can be provided upon request.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.
As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.
There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.
As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. Our family ran the Truckee Half Marathon/5k. The location was perfect for being close to downtown Truckee. The house was great for a large family dinner and fun at the pool table and fuse ball table. We enjoyed the hot tub as well. We will definitely make this an annual event and look forward to staying in the house again.

This place is HUGE!! Spent 3 nights here and lived every minute. Definitely enough room for 10 plus to not feel canin fever. Location is perfect. Close to many ski resorts and amenities. Management company is very responsive to any guest inquires. Would definitely stay here again!

The house itself is spacious and very comfortable, especially for a 3 generation family with 2 remote-working parents. However, there were two major issues with the house. First, it does NOT come with Tahoe Donner member-guest amenity passes which means that the clubhouse pool,, the rec center and its pool and hot tubs,, the tennis center, and the Donner Lake beach site are NOT available for use! Only the golf course (which costs $65 more per person without a member-guest card) and the bike rental/equestrian center are open to the public. Although the current listing does say there is no access to the Tahoe Donner amenities, that statement was not in the description when we rented the house (only that there was "no pool" but given that private pools are extremely are rare if not non-existent in Tahoe Donner, that statement was simply not one that translated into to no access to the private amenities. After our complaint, Avantstay did provides us with amenity cards and has now included a statement that this house does not have amenity cards, the lack of these cards is a serious drawback to the house. In addition, there is no cable TV, only a Slingbox which, while it has multiple streaming shows, lacks many of the main channels; the TV system is a technological hell that required two visits from the Avantstay people to make operational. Also, the protection TV in the family room was not operational. In addition, some of the uprights on the deck railing were easily knocked loose by one of our grandchildren leaning against two of them--about 30 feet above the ground. Avantstay was immediately responsive when we called to report the problem, but the problem should not have occurred in the first place. The above issues were significant in lessening our enjoyment of the property to the extent that we will not rent this house again.
