We absolutely loved our time in PortoVenere and the apartment had a wonderful balcony patio with a beautiful view of the harbor and boat activity. It was very well situated with a short walk to town and a private beach club just across the street where you could rent chairs for the day. One problem arose which was not resolved to our satisfaction. When we booked it on VRBO, the listing clearly stated in two places that there was a parking space provided. Due to this, we chose to drive. When we arrived, we were told the owner had sold the parking place over a year ago. We were then told the VRBO listing had been updated (since our booking) and there would be no credit of any sort given. As long as you know not to believe their listings in relation to parking, the apartment is great! (PS - parking is first come first serve on the street in a very crowded area. Expect to walk 0.5-1.0km for a space.)
