About this house rental
Welcome to the amazing paradise that is the Purple Pelican at Pirates Bay! The Purple Pelican is a ground level, zero stairs, 3 bedrooms, 6 beds, 3 full baths town home that sleeps 8-10 comfortably.
Pirates Bay is right off 361, close to the beach (3 min drive) & 2-3 blocks from the grocery store, restaurants, beach rentals, bars & the new amazing TEXAN gas station! yay! You will be close to everything Port A has to offer!
The Purple Pelican has all you need including a washer & dryer, 4 TV's, fully equipped kitchen, wifi, cable, 2 pools, a playground, zero carpet & keyless, contactless entry.
The Purple Pelican has 1200 plus square feet, with a private breezeway outside the front door enclosed w/two gates so you can leave your belongings there. Two reserved parking spots right in front of the unit, open feel, 3 bedrooms (w/one king & 2 queen sized beds) & 3 full baths (two in rooms, one in hallway (shower 1, shower 2, bath tub 3) as well as a twin bunk bed in hallway w/privacy curtains. The couch is a queen sized sofa sleeper (sheets under master bed), making 6 beds total. There is a Regalo kid’s cot is in the third bedroom closet for your use as well, it measures 48x26x7 inches (good for a 3-6 ish year old) as well as a standard sized pack & play.
Our kitchen is fully equipped w/pots/pans, a Keurig, a regular coffee pot and a griddle. We have basic spices but if you need anything specific, pack it to go!
Our private breezeway has an outdoor shower to clean yourself & your stuff off! It's also big enough to keep your kayak, fishing poles, beach toys and bikes outside to dry! There are also 4 chairs to hang out on, take advantage of the outdoor lights by just plugging them in for an amazing ambiance!
Guest access:
2 pools with beach like walk in, pool area has a shared grill to use as well as a fireplace. 1 propane grill at small pool, 1 BBQ at large pool, bring your own grilling utensils & coals to use & just clean up after yourself. There is also a playground for the kiddos by the big pool closest to our unit!
Other things to note:
Besides the two reserved spots in front of the Purple Pelican there is also overflow parking throughout the complex. You can be ticketed if you cross Hwy 361 on a golf cart. The Purple Pelican is pet free, if you bring a pet your reservation will be cancelled.
The best weather source for anybody to use is nhc noaa gov for tropical-related storm information. This government agency
is not in the media business and will not sensationalize the situation as Social Media and News outlets tend to do.
The Purple Pelican is not in the weather prediction business and as we all know these situations are always very fluid and changes happen.
Unless there is a call for a mandatory evacuation of the city of Port Aransas or Mustang Island it is business as usual.
We always suggest that guests purchase trip insurance to protect their investment from potential interruptions.

We enjoyed our stay it was a blessing the location and atmosphere were nice. Everything you could need was in the kitchen. Linens, towels and rooms were very clean. Loved the seashells throughout the house. We would gladly book again!

There was some issues that our host responded to very quickly. We could not use our golf cart at this location. The property is beautiful. But we stay on the other side next year Due to no golf carts.
