Beautiful, cosy apartment house "Chalet Schwendihus". In the district of Schwendi, outside the resort, 2.6 km from the centre, on a main road, south facing position. For shared use: garden. Patio. In the house: WiFi, storage room for skis, central heating system. In Winter: please take snow chains. Stepped path to the house. Parking at the house. Supermarket 2.7 km, shopping centre 2.6 km, restaurant 2.6 km, bakery 2.8 km, bicycle rental 3 km, bus stop "Schwendi" 300 m, railway station "Schwendi" 300 m, outdoor swimming pool 2 km, indoor swimming pool 2.7 km. Golf course (9 hole) 4 km, tennis 3.5 km, minigolf 2.9 km, sports centre 2.7 km, mountain railway 2 km, gondola lift 2 km, ski rental 2 km, cross country ski track 300 m, children's playground 2.7 km. Well-known lakes can easily be reached: Thuner-/Brienzersee 15 km. Please note: car recommended, no lift. Additional accommodations can be booked. Neighbourhood highly sensitive to noise. There is nothing in Schwendi so a short train ride to/from Grindelwald makes this property a nice place to relax away from the noise. We had to go into Grindelwald to get the key and check in, which is not explained in the documents, however, they are very nice people. The only other negatives are the wifi is poor downstairs and the room was full of flies. Apparently screens are not a thing in Switzerland. Overall, I would stay there again.

Wir fanden es sehr gemütlich. Ein kleines Sofa oder zwei kleinere Sessel wären für ältere Personen noch etwas angenehmer um sich zu entspannen.

Studio très bien situé proche de la gare Schwendi, pas le bruit du train mais les voitures oui fenêtres ouvertes. Bonne insonorisation fenêtres fermées. Logement propre avec jolie vue sur Eiger, joli jardin. Place de parking privée. Dommage il n'y a pas de micro onde dans la cuisine.
