We were overwhelmed. We knew from photos it would be a mas and not a modern tickytacky but seeing those stones sweeping up to the deep blue sky, an early cicada softly chugging away and is that he POOL!!!! M. Franck shot out of his nearby house to welcome us and everything was ready to hand.
We had been in a nearby village before so much of our stay was being reacquainted with the mouthwatering Savoillan croissants and checking out beloved views and villages like Brantes. But the cool inviting shady patio...the perfect pool with its lounge chairs under an olive and lime tree! The owner visiting who was such FUN and so thoughtful about what we might need ( for example, the stove was an induction stove whatever that is and you have to put down a pan of the correct weight to make the burner turn on. A beautiful frying pan there would not activate anything, she went a considerable distance to buy us a new pan.
All that lovely space. Walking up a lane with a cobbled drinking trough hundreds of years old.. Gazing and gazing at the flowering broom and the 360 degree view of hillside and mountains. Shady forest paths.

Our family of four loved our stay at this cottage. It has a clean and sparkling pool that was great for a swim and its natural beauty beneath Mount Ventoux is stunning. This is not a place for wild night life, but if you enjoy total peace and quiet as you are surrounded by natural beauty this is an ideal location! We got up early and read every morning as we listened to birds and even saw a family of wild pigs cross the road! Franck, the caretaker was very warm, friendly and helpful to meet all of our needs. The owner Danielle patiently answered all of our questions in a very timely manner and gave us some great information on how to enjoy the area. We are cyclists, and we were able to ride right out of the little village of Savoillan on some wonderful rides that had almost no traffic. Savoillan has a fine bakery, and it is a 10 minute stroll down the road to pick up your baguettes and croissants. We all loved our stay at this cottage and we STRONGLY recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful and convenient location from which to enjoy Provence!
