Holiday Home Lapad Beach Royal - Five Bedroom Holiday Home with Balcony and City View

This house is quite big, with en suite bedrooms spread over 2 floors, allowing for a lot of privacy. It’s in a quiet area with great views off the top floor balcony adjacent to the main common area. It’s a cool old house with interesting paintings hanging in every available inch of wall space. The kitchen is not great for cooking (even by European standards) and they skimped on stocking it with any supplies that weren’t obviously left by the previous renters. Beds, pillows and towels were typically European (hard). The bedrooms were comfortably sized - the master suite is huge. We had a little ant problem in one bedroom, but the owners were appalled and quickly fixed it. I guess that is to be expected with leaving windows with no screens open all the time. Similarly, it was August and took hours to cool off. Would have been nice if they had done that for us. The owners were very helpful and even gave us a couple of bottles of homemade booze as a thank you. Good location, about a $7 Uber ride to Old Town, and the bus line is a short walk away. 5-10 minute walk to groceries, bars and restaurants. We had a great time in Dubrovnik! I definitely recommend this house, but be prepared for Croatian standards.
